LARRY MEILLEUR

My extensive experience spans nearly 20 years.  I completed my original training in Quebec, Canada in 1990 with a focus on Swedish and Deep-Tissue massage. For many years, I kept a strict adherence to those established styles.  Recognizing a need to greater impact the body, mind and spirit as a whole, I was introduced to Vibrational Healing Massage in 2005 which brought about a deep paradigm shift in treatment focus.  Being told it greatly resembled Thai Massage, I completed training in Nuad Bo-Rarn (Northern style Thai Massage) in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2006. Continued self-improvement led to the completion of a yoga teacher training program in 2008 at Yandara in Baja California, Mexico.

My techniques and evolving style are an amalgam of training, experience and intuition.  Firstly, the body's balance and alignment are discerned.  Then, muscular manipulations, stretches, gentle shaking, joint mobilizations and passive hatha yoga poses are used to allow for increased movement, fluidity and vitality.  This often leads to greater awareness of holding patterns.  By consciously releasing these patterns, the constricted, tired and overstretched muscles are freed and allowed to once again move in a new and vibrant manner.  Freedom from pain and restrictions are normal results.

My focus is on alignment and a clear expectation of well-being.  Suggestions during my massage treatments are to "Breathe" and "Let Go".  Together with willingness, I assure you that you will leave my studio in a state of greater awareness, alignment and wellness.

Namaste.

MARILYN MASSAD

Massage techniques that I primarily use are the long strokes of Swedish and the more refined specifics of Deep Tissue. I bring 30 years experience in the healing arts and counseling world to my massage practice. My aim is to bring about calm in the body and mind so they work together as one creating a  more centered approach to each moment.  The energetic based methods that I incorporate come from training in Sufism, MariEl and Vipasana meditation.

My style is intuitive. I pay attention to detail. I listen to the verbal needs of the client and to the language of the body and follow where I am led. The expectation can be a renewed sense of well-being with more ease of movement and inner freedom.

I am available most Saturdays and weeknights.
DANIEL S. PORTILLO II

My intent during a massage therapy session is to create a nurturing, relaxing and therapeutic experience where people can become receptive to the healing energy within themselves.  I use a wide array of modalities including deep muscular work, joint immobilization, elongating stretches and fine-tuned energy work.  My massage style combines gentle muscle work with passive movement, addressing specific problem areas while enhancing flexibility of the spine and joints.  Precise detail work, woven together with long flowing strokes releases tension and creates a feeling of wholeness.  My specialty is neck, shoulder, and lower back pain relief.

Aromatherapy is included is all sessions at no additional fee.  I strongly suggest 90 min sessions to fully appreciate my work.  I am also available most evenings.

Namaste!
